ONU's Heldt Sets New School Record, Claims Fourth WCC Runner of the Week Award
CHICAGO --- Establishing another new school record, Olivet Nazarene University's Heidi Heldt (Weldon, Ill.) captured her fourth Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week award for the 2025 campaign, the league office announced on Wednesday.
Heldt set the record at the prestigious NAIA Great Lakes Challenge, which she won in a time of 17:28.4 on Saturday. The 5K race features many of the top-ranked programs at the NAIA level.
A total of 187 runners representing 22 schools made up the field. NAIA No. 16 ONU placed fifth as a team.
