First-Place Performance Lands SAU's Knoche WCC Weekly Runner Honors For Second Time

CHICAGO --- A first-place effort during the seven-day period ending Oct. 12 has earned St. Ambrose University's Kaitlyn Knoche (Donahue, Iowa) her second Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week honor for 2025, it was announced by the league office Wednesday morning.

Knoche bested the field of 55 runners at the Indian Hills Invitational on Friday.  The junior's time of 18:30 over the 5K distance helped St. Ambrose as a team author a new school record total time of 2:14:21.

That broke the old SAU mark by 88 seconds and enabled the Fighting Bees to pace the seven-team meet field.

Other Nominees: Taygen Beyer (Olivet Nazarene).
