ONU's Heldt Three-Peats As Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week
CHICAGO --- Olivet Nazarene University's Heidi Heldt (Weldon, Ill.) has three-peated.
Heldt notched her third Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week award of the season when it was announced on Wednesday. The senior did so by placing among the nation's elite at the Louisville Classic on Saturday.
Running against top competition at both the NCAA and NAIA levels, Heldt placed 36th out of 305 competitors at the meet. She covered the 5K course in 17:38, which was both a personal-best mark and the fourth-fastest time in school history.
ONU, as a team, finished the event in 25th place among the 31 schools competing.
Other Nominees: Kaitlyn Knoche (St. Ambrose), Jordyn Fleener (Trinity Christian), Nicole Vollrath (St. Francis).
