Nearly 100 Women's Track & Field Student-Athletes Garner All-Academic Status

CHICAGO --- Olivet Nazarene University's women's track & field team proved to be a champion in the arena and the classroom as the Tigers' program gained the most all-academic team selections in the sport when the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its 2025 honor roll on Wednesday.

The indoor champion this past winter, Olivet Nazarene totaled 24 all-academic honorees with Viterbo University being next in line with 17.  Others boasting double-figure recipients included St. Ambrose University (15), Governors State University (12), Saint Xavier University (10) and Trinity Christian College (10).

The rest of the team had seven individuals from University of St. Francis and one from Judson University.

Among the list of 96 total awardees, 12 amassed perfect 4.00 cumulative grade point averages.  Forty names were on the list one year ago, with 24 of those being repeat choices, 14 gaining the distinction for the third time and a pair of student-athletes recognized for the fourth time.     

To be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must have been enrolled at her respective CCAC school for a minimum of one academic year, have completed at least 30 semester hours and boast no less than a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.
