ONU's Heldt, Gustafson Back For More Women's Indoor Track & Field Weekly Honors

CHICAGO --- Week 1 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week are also the Week 4 recipients following the performances of Olivet Nazarene University's Heidi Heldt (Weldon, Ill.) and Amanda Gustafson (Winnebago, Ill.) during the seven-day stretch ending Feb. 8.  The league office made the announcement on Wednesday morning.

Heldt collected her third CCAC Track Athlete of the Week honor this winter by winning both the 800-meter and mile runs at ONU's own Walter Cramer Invitational on Friday.  The senior bested 24 other individuals in the former event with her 'A' time of 2:15.44, which places her eighth in the NAIA this year.

Heldt also hit the 'A' mark in the mile, knocking off 23 other challengers with her time of 4:55.11.  That is currently third-best in the NAIA.

Gustafson picked up her second CCAC Field Athlete of the Week award after placing first in the shot put and second in the weight throw at the Walter Cramer Invitational.  The shot put effort of 14.0 meters is the fourth-best mark in the NAIA this year.

The junior recorded a distance of 15.53 meters in the weight throw.
