ONU's Antkoviak, VU's Wingo Close Out Indoor Season With Another Weekly Honor
CHICAGO --- Olivet Nazarene University's Hannah Antkoviak (Allegan, Mich.) and Viterbo University's Olivia Wingo (Woodruff, Wis.) continued their dominant awards run through the 2024-25 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference indoor track & field season with their latest selections on Wednesday. Wingo was named the CCAC Field Athlete of the Week for the fourth time, while Antkoviak was recognized with the league's Track Athlete of the Week honor for the third time.
Antkoviak out-paced all others in the loaded 400-meter field at the Grand Valley State University (Mich.) Big Meet Friday, one that included competitors from all four levels of college athletics (NCAA I-III, NAIA). The senior won the race among 29 participants by authoring an 'A' standard time of 54.13 seconds.
Wingo captured both of her events at the Ripon College (Wis.) Dick Hendricks Invitational on Saturday. She won the pole vault with an 'A' standard mark of 12 feet, 9.5 inches (3.90 meters) to best 17 other challengers. Recording the fifth-best height in the NAIA this season, she also broke her own school record in the event.
The senior then went on to top the 12-person field in the high jump with a height of five feet, one inch (1.55 meters).
