Women's Indoor T&F Weekly Honors Awarded To ONU's McCall, VU's Keck
CHICAGO --- The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference has named Olivet Nazarene University's Kaylah McCall (Flossmoor, Ill.) as its Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week and Viterbo University's Izzy Keck (Caddott, Wis.) its Field Athlete of the Week for the seven-day period ending Feb. 2. The announcement was made on Wednesday morning.
McCall won the 60-meter hurdle race at ONU's own Walter Cramer Invitational on Friday with her NAIA "A" standard mark of 8.54 seconds. Notching the fifth-fastest time in the NAIA this winter, the senior beat out 11 other challengers for the crown.
Keck, meanwhile, hit the "B" standard with her effort in the pole vault at the Minnesota State University Mankato Mark Schuck Open on Saturday. Her vault of 11 feet, 10 inches (3.61 meters) placed her sixth in a field of 29 challengers.
