Fourteen Named To Women's Tennis All-Academic Team

CHICAGO --- Fourteen individuals have gained Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's tennis all-academic status, the league office announced on Wednesday morning.

Headlining the group was St. Ambrose University, which boasted six honorees.  League regular-season and tournament champion Holy Cross College followed with four selections, while Olivet Nazarene University and University of St. Francis each had a pair of recipients.

Half of the 14-memebr team were on the squad one year ago, including a trio of three-peat selections.

To be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must have been enrolled at her respective CCAC school for a minimum of one academic year, have completed at least 30 semester hours and boast no less than a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.
