USF's Bintsarovskaya Repeats As Women's Tennis Player of the Week
CHICAGO --- For the second week in a row, University of St. Francis' Anna Bintsarovskaya (Chachkov, Belarus) has been named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the league office announced on Wednesday morning.
The junior used a pair of wins in the No. 1 slot to garner the recognition, including a 6-2 nod over the International Tennis Association (ITA) No. 37-ranked doubles team from Judson University on Saturday. She teamed with Gabriella Noa on the victory.
Bintsarovskaya's other win was a convincing 6-1, 6-0 singles decision.
St. Francis defeated Judson 6-0 in its only match of the week to finish the regular season 2-6. In league play, the Fighting Saints went 1-3.
