Women's Soccer Weekly Honors Nabbed By ONU's Randall, HCC's Pankiewicz

CHICAGO --- Two more shutouts from Olivet Nazarene University's Meegan Randall (Republic, Mo.) and a clutch goal by Holy Cross College's Quinn Pankiewicz (Mishawaka, Ind.) earned the pair Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week honors, the league office announced on Tuesday morning.

Randall claimed her second CCAC Defensive Player of the Week award after putting up another two shutouts to move the Tigers to 5-0-5 overall and 3-0-4 in the league.  She stopped four shots over the two matches.

All four saves came in a 3-0 victory over Viterbo University last Tuesday.  The junior was also in goal in a 4-0 decision over Calumet College of St. Joseph on Saturday, but did not have any shots come her way that day.

Randall now has six shutouts on the season and ranks second in the nation with her 0.25 goals-against average.

Scoring the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over then first-place Saint Xavier University netted Pankiewicz CCAC Defensive Player of the Week accolades.  That goal came in the 75th minute of the contest and was her second game-winner of the campaign.

The freshman also provided an assist in Holy Cross' 5-0 victory versus Mount Mary University last Tuesday.

The Saints moved into a tie for first place in the league with the two wins.  They are now 6-5-1 overall and 5-1-1 in the conference.
