SXU's Davis Collects First Women's Golf Weekly Honor For 2025-26

CHICAGO --- A pair of Top 10 finishes during the seven-day period ending Sept. 14 have garnered Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Golf Player of the Week recognition for Saint Xavier University's Maddie Davis (Chicago, Ill.), it was announced by the league office on Wednesday morning.

Davis' best round came on Thursday when she claimed medalist distinction at the Governors State University Fall Tune-Up.  There, she shot a 79 to finish first out of 21 golfers.

As a team, Saint Xavier placed second among four squads.

Davis then went on register a ninth-place finish out of 55 competitors at the Monmouth College Fall Invite over the weekend.  She opened with an 82 on Saturday before recording an 84 on Sunday for a two-day total of 166.

SXU finished sixth among ten squads in that event.
