USF's Fromm, IUN's Brown-Griffin Gain First Women's Basketball Weekly Honors For 2026
CHICAGO --- A career-high from University of St. Francis' Coryn Fromm (Kiel, Wis.) and a pair of double-doubles by Indiana University Northwest's EJ Brown-Griffin (Chicago, Ill.) propelled the pair to Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors, the league office announced on Tuesday morning.
Fromm garnered the offensive recognition by authoring a personal-best 30 points courtesy of a red-hot shooting hand in USF's only contest of the week. In the 119-33 victory over Mount Mary University on Saturday, the sophomore guard hit 11 of her 17 shots for a .647 shooting mark. From long distance, she was even more impressive at .667 (8-of-12).
Fromm also contributed three rebounds, two assists and two steals for the No. 16-ranked Saints, who are a perfect 16-0 on the season and 8-0 in league play.
Brown-Griffin gained the defensive plaudits after averaging 6.5 defensive rebounds and 1.5 steals in a pair of split decisions. She also scored at a 15.0 points-per-game clip.
The senior forward opened the week with 12 rebounds (6 defensive), one steal and 12 points in an 81-69 setback to Indiana University East last Monday. That was followed by an 18-point, 11-rebound (seven defensive), 2-steal game in a 53-45 nod over Judson University on Saturday.
The 1-1 week left the RedHawks at 3-4 in the conference and 4-11 overall.
