Saint Xavier Headlines Softball Academic Honor Roll
CHICAGO --- Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference softball regular-season champion Saint Xavier University also came away toting the most all-academic choices for the sport when the league office announced its 2025 academic honor roll on Wednesday morning. The Cougar program boasted a total of 16 selections.
Claiming runner-up distinction was Trinity Christian College with its nine spots, while there was a log jam for third between Judson University, St. Ambrose University, University of St. Francis and Viterbo University with eight representatives each. The rest of the 70-person team included seven members of the Olivet Nazarene University program and six from Calumet College of St. Joseph.
Twenty-six of those honored made the squad one year ago, as well, broken up into 14 repeat selections and 12 three-time recipients. There were also seven individuals that turned in perfect 4.00 cumulative grade point averages.
To be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must have been enrolled at her respective CCAC school for a minimum of one academic year, have completed at least 30 semester hours and boast no less than a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.
