CHICAGO --- The Saint Xavier University men's volleyball program continued to dominate the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference weekly awards on Tuesday when the league office recognized Caydann Cox (Jamestown, N. Dak.), Andres Velez (Toa Baja, Puerto Rico) and Cameron Daniels (Omaha, Neb.).  With Tuesday's announcement, the Cougars' program has now captured eight of the nine honors over the first three weeks of the season.

The junior libero amassed 27 receptions and 13 digs (3.3 avg.) in a four-set win over NCAA II Roosevelt University last Tuesday.  He went on to average 3.7 digs per set (11 total) with 17 receptions and three aces in a three-set league win over Viterbo University on Saturday.

Velez closed out Saturday with 17 more passes and another seven digs in the Cougars' three-set decision over University of Jamestown (N. Dak.).

Cox put up 3.5 kills per set with a .333 attacking clip over the same three matches to net CCAC Attacker of the Week honors for the second time in three weeks.  He was solid all-around with eight aces, 49 receptions in 51 attempts, 2.3 digs per set and four assisted blocks.

The sophomore outside hitter recorded double-figure kill counts in each of the three matches with a double-double (10 kills, 13 digs), five aces and two blocks to open the week on Tuesday against Roosevelt.  He also hit at a .423 percentage in the Viterbo victory, where he was perfect on 14 receptions.

Cox finished out the three-match stretch with 13 kills, 19 receptions in as many attempts and six digs versus Jamestown.

Daniels earned his second straight CCAC Setter of the Week award after averaging 10.7 assists per set with no less than 33 total in any one match.  He topped out at 40 with eight digs and three aces in the Roosevelt win.  The junior wrapped up the week with a double-double of 33 assists and ten digs, not to mention three blocks, in the match against Jamestown.
