JU's Bavich Goes 4-0 To Secure Weekly Men's Tennis Honors

CHICAGO --- A string of four straight victories without a loss during the seven-day period ending April 13 has earned Judson University's Josh Bavich (Euchuca, Australia) Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week accord, the league office announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Bavich collected his decisions in team wins over both Bethel University (Ind.) and St. Ambrose University.  In the 5-2 defeat of Bethel on Thursday, the junior won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles and 6-4 paired up with Chadd Kerrigan at No. 1 doubles.

The results were nearly similar in the 6-1 decision over St. Ambrose on Saturday.  In that match, Bavich won 6-1, 6-2 in the same singles spot and 6-2 on the doubles side.

The St. Ambrose win was the first in conference play for the Eagles this year.  They are now 1-1 in the CCAC and 12-7 overall.
