ONU's Haws Repeats As Men's Tennis Player of the Week
CHICAGO --- Olivet Nazarene University's Chatton Haws (Cedarburg, Wis.) has claimed his second straight Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week award, the league office announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Haws turned in his second straight perfect week, going 4-0 with both two singles and doubles victories on Sunday. The two singles wins came in the No. 1 slot with the pair of doubles decisions coming in the No. 2 position with teammate Andres Viedma.
The sophomore opened with a 6-0 doubles victory and 6-1, 6-4 singles win versus Concordia University (Wis.). That was followed by a 7-6 (7-4) doubles triumph and 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 (10-7) singles decision against University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
The two victories – 6-1 vs. Concordia, 7-0 vs. UWSP – elevated Olivet Nazarene's overall record to 8-3 on the season.
