SAU's Febres Picks Up First Men's Tennis Weekly Honor of 2025

CHICAGO --- St. Ambrose University's Jaime Febres (Lima, Peru) has claimed the first Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week award for the 2025 season, the league office announced on Wednesday.  Febres won both of his decisions during the week ending March 2 to gain the plaudits.

In a 6-1 team win over Simpson College (Iowa) on Friday, Febres teamed up with Miguel Sampaio for a 6-1 victory at No. 2 doubles.  The sophomore then went on to score a 6-0, 6-0 decision at No. 4 singles.

St. Ambrose is off to a fast 7-1 start to the season.
