JU's Capellan, ONU's Kunzli Headline Week 9 Men's Soccer Honors

CHICAGO --- A two-goal match from Judson University's Inigo Capellan (Santander, Spain) and a two-save shutout by Olivet Nazarene University's Cedric Kunzli (Switzerland) have led to the pair claiming Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week accolades, the league office announced on Tuesday morning.

Capellan played a role in half of the Eagles' six goals last week to capture the league's offensive recognition.  The senior center midfielder produced two goals, including the game-winner, and added one assist in Judson's 6-1 victory over University of St. Francis on Saturday night.

The contest was the only one on the week for Judson, which remained unbeaten in league play (3-0-3) and is 4-5-5 overall.

Kunzli notched his second straight clean sheet and his third of the campaign to gain CCAC Defensive Player of the Week accolades.  The shutout came on Saturday in a 1-0 victory over Trinity Christian College, where the freshman registered the two saves.

Olivet Nazarene remained atop the league standings with the win.  The Tigers are 11-2-1 overall, 6-0 in CCAC play and have won seven matches in a row.

Other Offensive Nominees: Americo Castaneda (Saint Xavier), Joaquin Eischhorn (Viterbo), Adrian Kang Hagman (Olivet Nazarene), Erick Lopez (Indiana Northwest), Gus Stevens (St. Ambrose).

Other Defensive Nominees: Eduardo Canuto (Calumet St. Joseph), Devun Collins (Indiana Northwest), Peter Kolenyo (Viterbo), Guillermo Vences (Saint Xavier), Dawson Yegge (St. Ambrose).
