Top 3 Finish Secures MCC Weekly Runner Honors For SXU's Sytsma

CHICAGO --- Recording one of the fastest times in Saint Xavier University history during the seven-day period ending Sept. 8, senior Isaac Sytsma (Highland, Ind.) has been named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week, the league office announced on Wednesday morning.

Sytsma placed third out of 278 runners at the Indiana Wesleyan University Twilight Invite on Friday.  His time of 25:07.7 on the 8K course was the sixth-fastest in school history.

As a team, SXU finished ninth among 22 squads competing.
