Senior outside hitter Lisa Klein (Ladd, Ill.) and junior libero Courtney Ambrosch (Joliet, Ill.) led University of St. Francis to the championship match of the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Tournament and in so doing claimed the league’s weekly honors for the seven-day period ending November 11.
Klein gained CCAC Player of the Week honors for the sixth time this season, while Ambrosch was recognized as the conference’s Libero of the Week for the fourth time after helping the Lady Saints go 2-1 during the week.
Klein averaged 4.83 kills and 3.17 digs per game in the three matches. She also assisted on six blocks and recorded five aces in her 12 games played.
Ambrosch posted a .933 reception percentage with averages of 5.83 passes and 5.17 digs per game on the defensive end.
USF (28-19) used four-set victories over Trinity International University on Tuesday and Trinity Christian College on Thursday to advance to the championship match before falling to Olivet Nazarene University, 28-30, 30-28, 34-32, 30-21, on Saturday.
