The Calumet College of St. Joseph Crimson Wave Athletic department held their second annual "Pink Zone" game on Saturday February 6th. The Crimson Wave hosted Trinity Christian College who also took part in the day.

The Pink Zone Event is part of the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Funds initiative to raise breast cancer awareness. During the event teams from both schools wore pink t-shirts that brand the official Pink Zone logo. There were several raffles that included prizes of an IPod Shuffle, Asics Shoes, Adidas bags, and many baked goods.

"This is a great event that helps a great cause. We are very proud to participate in this initiative. Breast Cancer touches a lot of people's lives. I'm just glad that we can help others become more aware." Said Head Coach Cristina Schmidt

All proceeds and donations from this event will be donated to the Kay Yow/WBCA Cancer Fund in partnership with The V Foundation.   For more information on this fund or the Pink Zone initiative please visit the WBCA website.
