Triplett led Stritch to two wins last week

Cardinal Stritch University senior forward Trey Triplett (Lisle, IL) had an outstanding week as he led the Wolves to two conference wins as they continue to sit atop the conference standings. Triplett averaged 20 points and 7.5 rebounds per game and has been named CCAC Men's Basketball Division II Player of the Week for the week ending January 24.

The Wolves defeated Calumet College 89-57. Triplett had 13 points and five rebounds. He made 7-of-8 free throws.

Triplett's big game came in a 76-62 win over Purdue University-Calumet. He recorded a double-double of 27 points and 10 rebounds. He converted on 10-of-17 shots and made 7-of-10 free throws.

In addition to the 20 points and 7.5 rebounds per game, Triplett shot 54.2 percent (13-24) in the two games combined and also made 14-of-18 free throws.

Triplett ranks fifth in the CCAC in scoring with a 17.7 points per game average, third with a 6.6 rebounds per game average and fourth with a 54.1 percent field goal percentage.

Cardinal Stritch is ranked 13th in the NAIA and has won nine games in a row. The Wolves are 17-4 overall and 5-0 in the CCAC.
