The CCAC's leading scorer Robert Jones (Fort Pierce, FL) from Robert Morris University added to his point-total and moved closer to the 2,000 career scoring mark with a pair of great games, including a double-double in the Eagles' conference opener against Indiana University-South Bend. For his two solid performances, Jones has been named CCAC Men's Basketball Division I Player of the Week for the week ending January 17.

Robert Morris opened the week with an easy 94-55 win over East-West University. Jones had a great line with 16 points, eight rebounds, five assists, four steals and two blocks. He shot 8-of-15 from the field.

In the team's game against IUSB, Jones played all 40 minutes as the Eagles won 73-50. The senior guard had 21 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, a block and a steal. He connected on 8-of-14 shots.

In the two games combined, Jones averaged 18.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.5 blocks and 2.5 steals. He made 55.2 percent of his shots (16-29).

Jones leads the league with a 19.4 points per game average. He is also in the top-5 for rebounds per game (4th-6.5 rpg.), field goal percentage (4th-53.5%), assists per game (4th, 2.7 apg.) and steals per game (5th-1.4 spg.).
 
Robert Morris is 10-8 overall and 1-0 in the CCAC.
