Bruinsma scored a season-high 30 points in a CCAC win over Purdue-Calumet

Trinity Christian College senior guard Will Bruinsma (New Era, MI) had an excellent offensive week leading the team in scoring in both of the Trolls' conference games. The team lost to No. 23 Cardinal Stritch (91-78), but then defeated Purdue University-Calumet (96-85). For his performances, Bruinsma has been named CCAC Division II Player of the Week for the week ending January 10.

In the loss to nationally ranked Cardinal Stritch, Bruinsma scored a game-high 21 points. He made 8-of-19 shots from the field, including four three-point field goals. He also had two steals.

Ending a five game losing streak and earning their first conference win of the year, the Trolls were led by Bruinsma's season-high 30 points to defeat Purdue-Calumet. He connected on 12-of-20 shots including three three-point field goals. He also contributed five rebounds, three assists and a steal.

In the two games combined, Bruinsma averaged 25.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals. He shot 51 percent from the field (20-39) and 50 percent from behind the arc (7-14).

Bruinsma is the league's leading scorer at a 21.6 point per game average. The Trolls are 5-12 overall and 1-1 in the CCAC.
