Hannemann helps keep St. Xavier undefeated

St. Xavier University senior Erin Hannemann (Homer Glen, IL) wrapped up the final two days of the 2009 SXU Holiday Tournament with a pair of big wins for the No. 2 ranked Cougars. She was sensational in the last two games averaging 19.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists, earning the Most Valuable Player award. Hannemann shot 13-for-26 from the field over the stretch as Saint Xavier knocked off two ranked opponents by double-digit margins to claim their fourth consecutive Holiday Tournament title.

In the 78-62 win over No. 23 University of St. Francis (IN), Hannemann finished with team bests of 21 points and 11 rebounds. She also contributed two assists, one block and one steal, while shooting 7-of-15 from the field.

In the 77-50 win over St. Ambrose University in the championship game of the tournament, Hannemann led the Cougars with her third straight double-double. She tallied 18 points, 12 rebounds, three assists and a block. She shot 6-of-11 from the field.

Hannemann leads the league with a 58 percent field goal percentage. She ranks sixth with a 12.5 points per game average and second with her 7.5 rebounds per game average.

St. Xavier remains undefeated at 15-0.
