ONU Coach Brenda Williams Leads Olivet to Fourth Straight NAIA National Tournament

volleyball team is headed to its eighth NAIA National Tournament after earning the
CCAC automatic berth. The Tigers will host the opening round against Evangel University
(Mo.) on Saturday
at 1 p.m.
Evangel is making its first-ever appearance at the NAIA
National Tournament after winning the Heart of America Athletic Conference
Championship. The Crusaders are 28-8.
Olivet is ranked No. 12 in the nation and boasts a 33-8
overall record. The team has won four straight CCAC Tournament Championships.
The top 11 teams in the tournament received a bye, while the
next 24 teams play in the opening round matches on Nov. 21. All matches will be
played at on-campus sites.
The winners of the National Championship Opening Round matches, in addition to
host school Morningside (Iowa), will advance to the Tyson Events Center/Gateway
Arena in Sioux City, Iowa, location of the NAIA National Championship presented
by Siouxland Sports Medicine Foundation Dec. 1 - 5.
The final 24 teams will be placed into six pools and will play a round robin
pool play Dec. 1-3, with the top two teams from each pool advancing to the
single elimination bracket starting Dec. 4. The championship match will take
place at 8 p.m. (CST) on Dec. 5.
Final site pool assignments and schedule will be announced by on Nov. 22 by 6
p.m. (CST).
