
Judson University freshman Carissa Oelke (Oregon, IL) had an outstanding match against conference foe Trinity International last week to help lead Judson to an impressive 3-2 comeback win over the Trojans. Oelke has been named CCAC Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 25.
Judson was down 0-2 against the Trojans before the Eagles stormed back for three straight wins for the 3-2 match victory. Oelke, a 5-10 outside hitter, led Judson with her 10th double-double of the season with 26 kills and 19 digs. Her 19 kills was one shy of her career high. Oelke had just four errors in 68 attempts for a .324 hitting percentage. She is ranked fifth in the CCAC with a 3.27 kills per game average.The match against Trinity International was Judson's third straight five-game conference match. With the win, Judson moved up to fourth in the CCAC standings and has four conference wins for the first time since 2005. The Eagles are now 7-21 overall and 4-3 in the CCAC.
