A total of 19 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference softball players were among the 292 individuals that were named Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes on Tuesday evening. Robert Morris College and University of St. Francis boasted the most recipients with four each, while Olivet Nazarene University and Saint Xavier University both had five players represented.

Calumet College of St. Joseph and Judson University gained a pair of spots each on the team with Trinity Christian College also having one individual recognized.

To gain the award, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher at her current institution and be academically classified as a junior, senior or graduate student. The nominated student-athlete must also have been enrolled at her current school for a minimum of one academic year.
