The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced its spring sports all-academic teams for both baseball and softball with a total of 45 student-athletes from 10 conference schools being recognized.

Olivet Nazarene University garnered the most members on the shared teams with a total of 10 honorees followed by University of St. Francis with nine. Calumet College of St. Joseph and Trinity International University were next in line with five selections each, while Illinois Institute of Technology, Judson University, Purdue University North Central and Saint Xavier University gained three spots. Cardinal Stritch University and Trinity Christian College totaled two scholar-athletes each.

Breaking down the numbers by sport, a total of 28 baseball players were honored with Olivet Nazarene and Trinity International turning out the most recipients with six and five, respectively. On the softball side, St. Francis garnered the most spots (five) among the 17 total awardees with Olivet Nazarene right behind (four).
 
Olivet Nazarene also claimed the most awardees for all three sport seasons combined (fall, winter and spring) with a grand total of 40 recipients followed by Trinity Christian College with 31 and Illinois Institute of Technology with 28.  University of St. Francis (26) and Trinity International University (22) rounded out the top five.
 
A total of 203 student-athletes claimed the distinction in the conference during the inaugural year of the award. 
 

To be nominated, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher at his/her current CCAC school with a total of at least 60 semester/90 quarter hours of total college credit earned. The nominated student-athlete must also have been enrolled at the CCAC institution for a minimum of one academic year.
