The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its Men's & Women's Basketball All-Academic Teams for both Division I & II for the recently-completed 2008-09 campaign on Friday morning.

A total of 39 student-athletes were recognized with Olivet Nazarene University posting the most recipients with a total of eight Tigers being honored. Trinity Christian College and University of St. Francis were next with six honorees each, while Cardinal Stritch University gained five awardees. Illinois Institute of Technology, Saint Xavier University and Purdue University Calumet totaled three recipients each with Trinity International University earning two spots and Indiana University South Bend, Calumet College of St. Joseph and Judson University one each.

To be nominated, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher at his/her current CCAC school with a total of at least 60 semester/90 quarter hours of total college credit earned. The nominated student-athlete must also have been enrolled at the CCAC institution for a minimum of one academic year.

The breakdown per team had nine individuals making up the men's division I list and another six being named to the men's division II team. On the women's side, the breakdown was identical with 12 honorees at both the division I and II levels.

Saint Xavier University's Angie Bush (Valparaiso, Ind.) was the lone student-athlete to boast a perfect 4.00 cumulative grade point average.  She is a junior majoring in Biology.
