Cardinal Stritch's Michelle Stelloh was named CCAC Women's Basketball DII Player of the Year on Friday.

Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Division II regular-season champion Cardinal Stritch University cleaned up on post-season honors when the awards were announced Friday morning by the league office. Four of five Wolves' starters, including Michelle Stelloh, who earned player of the year status, and head coach Rich Panella all came away with hardware.

Stelloh, a 5-11 junior forward, finished in the Top 10 in the league in no fewer than six statistical categories in both overall games and conference games alone. In the former, she placed second in both scoring (15.3 points per game) and three-point field goals made per game (2.18) and third in steals per game (2.11). She also averaged 4.9 rebounds per contest and blocked 16 shots in 28 games played.

In conference games only, Stelloh finished as the runner-up in three-pointers made (2.4 per game) and blocks (10), while ranking third in scoring with her 16.9 per game clip. Her other numbers included a 5.6 rebounding average, a .459 field goal percentage and a .407 three-point accuracy reading in 10 league games played.

Panella was named as the league's coach of the year. It marks the 16th time that he has been so honored between his time in the CCAC and the Wolves' former conference, the Lake Michigan Athletic Conference (LMAC).

Stelloh was one of two Wolves to make the all-conference first team with two others earning honorable mention status. Conference third-place finisher Trinity International University earned the same representation, which included league freshman of the year Vivianne Kindt.

An honorable mention choice on the CCAC team, Kindt, in all games played, led the league in field goal percentage (.523), while also averaging 10.0 points and 4.3 rebounds per game in 28 games played. In conference games only, her .516 field goal percentage placed third among league players. The 5-9 forward's other numbers included averages of 12.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per game and a .771 free throw percentage.

Rounding out the representation, Judson University and Purdue University Calumet gained two spots on the 10-member first team and one honorable mention selection each. Trinity Christian College and Calumet College St. Joseph both claimed one first-team position with the former also picking up two honorable mention choices and Calumet St. Joseph earning one.
