CHICAGO --- Leading their teams to perfect 4-0 conference weeks, Olivet Nazarene University's Lizzie Jackson (Brown County, Ind.) and Trinity Christian College's Brianna Figueroa (Hammond, Ind.) and Dani VanLaten (Westmont, Ill.) have been selected as the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Volleyball Players of the Week for the seven-day period ending Oct. 8, it was announced by the league office Tuesday morning.  For Figueroa and VanLaten, it marked the second time they have been recognized this season.

Jackson, the CCAC Attacker of the Week, was nearly impossible to stop, boasting a .440 attack percentage in her four matches with 46 kills and only six errors in 91 total chances.  Three times she rang up double figures in kills to go along with a pair of four-block assist matches.

The junior middle blocker's best match of the week was her 12 kills opposite only one error in 26 chances to go along with four block assists and five digs in a three-set win over Roosevelt University on Saturday.  Jackson also produced a 16-kill match in a four-set win over Judson University on Friday.

Olivet Nazarene's 4-0 week put the Tigers at 15-8 overall and 6-2 in the conference.

VanLaten, a sophomore, had a solid all-around week en route to earning her second CCAC Setter of the Week award.  Not only did she average 11.9 assists per set, she also turned in just over two digs per set and both six service aces and six block assists in the four matches.

VanLaten's highlight of the week was her 54-assist match in a four-set win over Judson University on Saturday.  Earlier that same day, she recorded 49 assists in a four-set victory opposite Roosevelt University.

Figueroa, a freshman libero, led the Trolls in digs in each of their four matches to earn CCAC Defender of the Week recognition.  She averaged 5.57 digs per set with double-figure dig amounts in each of the four contests.

Figueroa also went without a reception error for three-plus matches before finishing with 71 passes in 73 attempts for a .973 reading.

Figueroa opened crossover play this past weekend with 23 digs in a three-set win against Calumet College of St. Joseph and closed it with 26 digs in a four-set victory opposite Judson University on Saturday.
