CHICAGO --- The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced on Tuesday morning that Olivet Nazarene University's Kayleigh Kastelein (Dunlap, Ill.) and Jeslyn Roat (Greenview, Ill.) and University of St. Francis' Leah Alles (Tinley Park, Ill.) have claimed the latest round of weekly volleyball awards.

For Alles, it marks the third time that she has earned CCAC Defender of the Week accolades.  The senior libero gained the recognition after posting no fewer than 12 digs in any of her team's six matches.  In the end, it averaged out to 6.00 digs per set.  She also made good on better than 90 percent of her pass attempts on the week.

Alles' top performance of the week came in a five-set setback to Taylor University (Ind.) on Friday, where she turned in 32 digs.  She also had two other 20-plus dig matches.

St. Francis went 2-4 on the week to put its record at 9-14 this season.

Kastelein, the CCAC Setter of the Week for the second time this year, averaged 10.83 assists and 3.17 digs per set in the Tigers' perfect 4-0 week.  The freshman topped 40 assists in each of the team's four matches with a high-water mark of 55 against Taylor on Saturday and 54 versus Indiana Wesleyan, who was among others receiving votes, on Friday.  In the same match, Kastelein also registered 20 digs.

Roat boasted a historic week.  Not only did the senior outside hitter claim her first CCAC Attacker of the Week award for 2017, but she also topped the 1,000-kill mark for her career.  Roat averaged 3.61 kills and 3.28 digs per set, while also producing five service aces and seven blocks in keying the Tigers' four wins on the week.  Included was a 21-kill, 19-dig match in a four-set win over Taylor on Saturday.

Olivet Nazarene's 4-0 week put the Tigers over the .500 mark at 11-8 on the season.
