Women's Soccer - Tue, Sep. 26, 2017

CHICAGO, Ill. --- A record-setting performance from Cardinal Stritch University's Jacqueline Wilhem (Munich, Germany) and a near-perfect week in goal by University of St. Francis' Jessica Kiely (Wheaton, Ill.) have earned the pair distinction as the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Players of the Week, it was announced by the league office Tuesday morning.

Wilhelm, a freshman midfielder, set a school record with her five goals in an 11-0 victory against Holy Cross College on Saturday.  She added an assist in the same contest as well as in a 2-1 upset win over Trinity Christian College on Wednesday when the Wolves scored a 2-1 victory over the No. 24-ranked Trolls.

Wilhelm finished the week totaling 12 points.

Cardinal Stritch's perfect 2-0 week to start conference play put the Wolves at 4-2-1 on the season.

Kiely, a senior, landed her second straight CCAC Defensive Player of the Week honor after stopping eight shots and permitting only one goal in 155 minutes of action over two games during the week ending Sept. 24.  She was one-half of a tandem to post a 2-0 shutout of Calumet College of St. Joseph on Thursday with her two saves that night.

Kiely provided another six saves in a 1-1 tie versus Saint Xavier University on Saturday.

USF's 2-0-1 week pushed the Saints' record to 5-2-2 on the season.

Other Offensive Nominees: Emily Hulliberger (Olivet Nazarene), Kelli Pietrowski (St. Francis), Jillian Doan (Saint Xavier), Evie Hepworth (Calumet St. Joseph).

Other Defensive Nominees: Abby Mansker (Cardinal Stritch), Carly Bledsoe (Saint Xavier), Hannah Ondrey (Olivet Nazarene), Jade Newton (Calumet St. Joseph).
