CHICAGO --- The second round of Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's volleyball weekly awards saw representation from three different schools beginning with Saint Xavier University's Bridget Krasowski (Oak Lawn, Ill.), who was recognized as the CCAC Attacker of the Week.  University of St. Francis' Leah Alles (Tinley Park, Ill.) meanwhile, grabbed CCAC Defender of the Week honors, with Olivet Nazarene University's Kayleigh Kastelein (Dunlap, Ill.) being recognized as the league's best setter for the week ending Sept. 3, the conference office announced on Tuesday.

Krasowski, a senior outside hitter, posted double-doubles in wins over both Aquinas College (Mich.) last Tuesday and Lake Superior State University (Mich.) on Saturday.  She totaled 17 kills, a season-high 13 digs and three block assists against Aquinas, while collecting 13 kills, 11 digs and two blocks (one solo) versus Lake Superior State.

For the two matches, she averaged 3.75 kills and 3.00 digs per set, while authoring a .297 attack percentage.

Saint Xavier's 2-0 week put the Cougars at 8-1 on the season.

Alles, a senior defensive specialist, registered 20-plus digs in three of four matches for the Saints, averaging 5.29 digs per set.  She also authored six aces in a four-set win against Indiana University Southeast on Saturday.

St. Francis went 2-2 on the week leaving the Saints at 3-5 on the campaign.

Kastelein, a freshman, was put to the test during the week, facing three Top 12-ranked clubs in a four-match week.  She ended the gauntlet averaging 9.20 assists per set topped by a 45-assist match in a five-set contest loss to No. 12 Missouri Baptist.

Olivet Nazarene went 1-3 over the week with another match against the elite-level competition going four sets.  The Tigers are 3-4 on the year.

Other Attacker Nominees: Taylor Valant (St. Francis), Jeslyn Roat (Olivet Nazarene), Milica Maras (Governors State), Ashley McClintock (Indiana South Bend).

Other Defender Nominees: Mariana Ayala (Saint Xavier), Alex Ewalt (Olivet Nazarene), Janelle Rehlander (Indiana South Bend).

Other Setter Nominees: Makenna Bartecki (St. Francis), Courtney Joyce (Saint Xavier), Sarah Allison (Indiana South Bend).
