CHICAGO --- A pair of hat tricks from Trinity Christian College's Jessica Bianchi (Elmhurst, Ill.) and a shutout by Trinity International University's Becca Wells (Springfield, Ohio) helped the pair earn Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively, it was announced by the league office Tuesday morning.

Bianchi, a junior forward, authored the three-goal matches in a 4-0 win against Clarke University (Iowa) last Tuesday and a 7-1 victory over Bethel College (Ind.) on Saturday.  She also contributed an assist in the latter affair.  In between, she played a role in all of the scoring in a 3-1 win over Huntington University (Ind.) on Wednesday with two goals and one assist.

Bianchi, who was credited with two game-winning goals among the three contests, saw eight of her 14 shots on goal last week find the back of the net.  She finished the three-match set with eight goals and two assists for a total of 18 points.

The three matches were the first ones of the season for the Trolls, who are off to a quick 3-0 start to the campaign.

Wells, a sophomore goalkeeper, notched her second shutout of the young season on Saturday when she stopped five shots in a 2-0 win against Campbellsville University (Ky.).  Earlier in the week, she produced 15 saves in a 3-0 setback to NAIA No. 2-ranked Spring Arbor University (Mich.) last Tuesday.

For the two matches combined, Wells stopped a total of 20 shots, or an average of 10 per contest.

Trinity International's 1-1 week put the Trojans at 2-1 on the season.

Other Offensive Nominees: Jillian Kolster (Trinity International), Emily Hulliberger (Olivet Nazarene), Olivia De La Rosa (St. Francis).

Other Defensive Nominees: Bethany Dombkowski (St. Francis).
