Judson's Christina Thornton - CCAC Women's Soccer Player of the Year

A perfect regular season helped Trinity Christian College dominate the all-Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Team, landing no fewer than six of its 11 starters on the 14-member squad which was announced by the conference office on Monday morning.

Trinity International University, which was next in line, had half of that representation, while Olivet Nazarene was the only other team to put more than one individual on the squad with its two qualifiers.

Three of TCC's six spots went to midfielders Claire Comerouski (Itasca, Ill.), Allison Doyle (New Lenox, Ill.) and Mindi Prins (Hudsonville, Mich.). They were joined by forward Carly Comerouski (Itasca, Ill.), goalkeeper Hannah Gonzalez (Visalia, Calif.) and defender Leanne Visser (Jenison, Mich.).

Doyle was also named the conference's freshman of the year.

With Trinity's control of the team, it was clear that the Trolls' Josh Lenarz was the league's top coach.

Judson University junior midfielder/forward Christina Thornton (Algonquin, Ill.) was named the CCAC Player of the Year. A three-time all-conference choice, she was the league's freshman of the year back in 2006.

Calumet College of St. Joseph earned the conference's Karl Boeck Sportsmanship Award.
