Top-seeded Olivet Nazarene University gained its third consecutive trip to the NAIA National Tournament by capturing its fourth straight Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament championship after defeating No. 3 seed Illinois Institute of Technology, 25-14, 25-18, 25-19, at McHie Arena Saturday afternoon.

All-conference selection Tara Schmidt led the Tigers with 10 kills and three blocks, while CCAC Player of the Year Michelle McFadden added five kills and four blocks.

The Byrne sisters, Sara and Terese, also made their presence felt with the pair combining for 12 kills and four blocks.

The freshman duo of DeeAnn Garvin and Lauren Comfort solidified ONU's backcourt with 13 and nine digs, respectively.

CCAC Setter of the Year Erin Sikora dished out 25 assists in leading a Tiger offensive attack that produced a .338 hitting clip for the match.

Ranked No. 16 in the nation, Olivet Nazarene (36-9) finds out Sunday who it will play in the opening round of the national tournament, which begins next Saturday, Nov. 22 at a site to be determined.
