The week ending September 14, 2008 proved to be a big one for Trinity Christian College's Michelle Schurman (DeMotte, Ind.).

Not only did the senior outside hitter become the program's all-time career kills leader earlier in the week, she capped it by being named Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week.

In a perfect week for the Trolls (5-0), Schurman was near perfect herself collecting 4.75 kills and 4.19 digs per game, while also registering an impressive .417 attack percentage.

In each of the five matches, Schurman paced the club in both kills and digs, topped by her 19-kill efforts in back-to-back matches against Purdue University North Central (Ind.) (Sept. 9) and Rockford College (Sept. 12) and her 21 digs versus Denison University (Ohio) (Sept. 13).

She also recorded 11 assists, five aces and 13 blocks (2 solo, 11 assisted) during the week.

Winners of six matches in a row, Trinity Christian boasts a league-leading 13 wins against just two losses in 15 matches overall.
