Robert Morris' Arso Mitreski

Robert Morris College's Arso Mitreski (Countryside, Ill.) accounted for three of his team's four goals covering two games to earn Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors, while Judson University's Cristiano Costa (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) allowed just one goal to highly-regarded Grand View College (Iowa) to capture the league's defensive player of the week accolades for the seven-day period ending August 31.

Mitreski, a sophomore forward, tallied both of his team's goals in a 4-2 setback to Cornerstone University (Mich.) on August 26 before collecting one of two goals in a 2-1 win over Doane College (Neb.) on August 30.

The contests were the first two games played on the year for the Eagles.

Making his first collegiate start at Judson on August 30, Costa made the most of it stopping all but one of Grand View's six shots on goal in a 3-1 victory for Judson. Included among the saves by the junior was a penalty kick in the game's 21st minute with the score tied 0-0.

Grand View came into the affair among others receiving votes in the NAIA preseason poll.

Judson gained a split of its season-opening Classic with the victory after dropping a 1-0 decision to McKendree University one day earlier.
