Joe Koehler (Worth, Ill.) tossed his second shutout in three starts and Steve Kehr (Countryside, Ill.) drove in six runs over four games to lead University of St. Francis to a 3-1 weekend and land the pair of Saints Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Pitcher and Player of the Week honors, respectively, for the seven-day period ending March 16.

Koehler, a sophomore righthander, wrapped up the weekend with the seven-inning blanking in a 2-0 victory over Marian College (Ind.) on March 16. He scattered five hits, while striking out two batters and did not allow a walk.

With the win, Koehler kept his record perfect at 3-0.

Kehr, a junior first baseman, hit safely in all four contests and drove in at least one run in each of the affairs, including three in a 7-2 victory over Marian on March 15.

Besides the six RBI, he also plated three runs and batted .333 for the week (4-of-12) with one double.

By taking three out of four games over the weekend, St. Francis improved its overall record to 14-4.
