CHICAGO --- Leading her team to five league victories over a busy five-day stretch, including four wins over two days, Olivet Nazarene University's Kaia Lenzi (Beach Park, Ill.) has been named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 6, the CCAC office announced on Tuesday.

A 6-0 junior middle blocker, Lenzi was tough at the net both defensively and offensively last week totaling 22 blocks (6 solo, 16 assisted) and boasting a .368 attack percentage.  She also produced an average of 2.06 kills per contest with 33 in 16 sets against only eight errors in 68 total chances.

Lenzi opened the week without committing an error in 15 attacking attempts and delivering 10 kills in a three-set victory over Indiana University South Bend on Tuesday.  Her other big game came on Saturday when she produced nine blocks (4 solo), four aces and 11 kills in a five-set match versus Roosevelt University.

Lenzi also authored two other matches of five blocks during the weekend crossover tournament at Judson University.

Olivet Nazarene, which dropped only two sets during the five matches, is now 14-11 overall and 8-1 in CCAC play.
