Cardinal Stritch needed all of Trey Triplett's 15 points on Tuesday night.

Milwaukee, Wis. --- Cardinal Stritch University sophomore forward Trey Triplett (Lisle, Ill.) scored his 1,000th career point in his team’s 74-73 win over Purdue University Calumet (Ind.) in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Division II Tournament quarterfinal-round game Tuesday night. Triplett currently ranks 13th on the Wolves’ all-time scoring list.

Triplett currently leads his team in scoring at 18.8 points per game and also in rebounds with 8.6 rebounds per contest. Leading his team in scoring in 21 contests, Triplett has scored 20-plus points 17 times throughout the course of the year and has twice hit for at least 30 points.
 
Triplett was named to the all-Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference First Team this year, his second time receiving all-conference honors. In conference play, he ranks first in scoring (19.6 ppg), third in rebounds (8.6 rpg) and eighth in field goal percentage (.497).
 
Cardinal Stritch (18-13) will head to Palos Heights, Illinois on Thursday for a semifinal-round contest against second-seeded Trinity Christian College.
