Trinity Christian College's Amanda Learned (Geneva, Ill.) moved within 13 points of the coveted 1,000-point mark for her career combining for 28 points in a pair of Troll victories to nail down Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Division II Player of the Week honors for the week ending February 24.

Learned, a 5-10 junior forward, averaged 14.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game in a week in which she shot .579 from the field (11-of-19) and Trinity Christian scored both a 63-55 victory over Judson University (Feb. 20) and an 82-47 win over Calumet College of St. Joseph, Ind. (Feb. 23).

In the latter affair, Learned nearly posted a triple-double, coming away with 12 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, not to mention two steals, while hitting five of her six shots from the field.

Against Judson, she totaled 16 points, five rebounds, three assists and one block.

The two victories snapped a five-game losing streak for the Trolls, who enter the CCAC Tournament with an 11-19 overall record. Trinity Christian finished fourth in the league during the regular season with a 4-6 mark.
