CHICAGO --- The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced its volleyball all-academic team for 2012.  Fifty (50) recipients in all were named to the team with Judson University boasting the most honorees.  The Eagles had nine players on the list.

Robert Morris University and Saint Xavier University placed right behind Judson with six awardees each.

All 14 teams that sponsor volleyball in the conference had at least one individual make the team.

Robert Morris senior Kory Honel (Bourbonnais, Ill.) and junior Kristin Kopicki (Sterling Heights, Mich.) as well as University of St. Francis senior Ashley Richards (Wilmington, Ill.) boasted the highest cumulative grade point averages among the group with all three authoring perfect 4.0's.

Twenty-six of the individuals recognized were repeat selections from one year ago.

To be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must have been enrolled at her respective CCAC school for a minimum of one academic year, have completed at least 30 semester hours and boast no less than a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.
