CHANNAHON, Ill. --- Known for its Three Rivers Festival, Channahon could serve as the home to a different kind of trio on Saturday as in a three-peat for both the University of St. Francis men's and Olivet Nazarene University women's cross country programs.  Both teams will be seeking their third straight Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Cross Country Championship at Community Park (23304 West McClintock Road) when the starter's gun sounds this weekend.

St. Francis is ranked No. 3 in the latest NAIA men's poll – the highest-ever ranking in the history of the program - with a pair of first-place votes included.  Olivet Nazarene sits No. 4 in the women's coaches' poll.

St. Francis returns most of its squad from back-to-back appearances at the NAIA Nationals, where the team finished 14th and 13th, respectively.  Olivet Nazarene, meanwhile, has finished in the Top 11 in the nation each of the previous two years.  The Tigers placed 11th overall in 2010 and No. 6 last year.

For the first time in the history of the league, two conference representatives will advance to the NAIA Championships due to the CCAC now boasting 12 teams that sponsor cross country on both the men's and women's side.

On the men's side, Saint Xavier University is among others receiving votes in the latest NAIA poll, while Olivet Nazarene has to be considered in the mix after placing 20th at the finals last year.

On the women's side, St. Francis represents the other CCAC team in the latest NAIA poll at No. 18.  Saint Xavier just missed the cut being the team with the most votes among others receiving votes in the poll.  The Cougars will be seeking to advance for the fourth straight year after winning the CCAC meet in both 2009 and 2010 and advancing as an at-large team one year ago when they placed 16th at nationals.

Saturday's women's race begins at 11 a.m. with the men's race to follow at 11:45 a.m.
