CHICAGO --- Robert Morris University senior outside hitter Melissa Joyce (Chicago, Ill.) is returning with a vengeance.  After missing much of the 2012 season due to injury, Joyce returned to her 2011 all-conference form this past week earning Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week honors, it was announced on Tuesday morning.

In three matches at the CCAC Crossover Tournament in South Bend over the weekend, Joyce averaged 5.60 kills and 4.10 digs per set, while attacking at a .435 clip with 56 kills and only nine errors in 108 chances over three matches.

Joyce authored three straight double-doubles in the tournament registering no less than 10 kills and 12 digs in wins over host Indiana University South Bend, Purdue University North Central and Olivet Nazarene University.  In the victory over Indiana South Bend, Joyce totaled 22 kills and 16 digs in three sets.  Against Olivet Nazarene, she posted 24 kills and 13 digs in four games.

Joyce also produced four assists, three aces and three block assists during the weekend.

For the season, Robert Morris is 10-24 overall and 8-9 in league play.
