CHICAGO --- Olivet Nazarene University's Michael Da Silva (Brampton, Ontario) totaled three goals, while Cardinal Stritch University's Oliver Bell (London, England) scored once and allowed only one goal to lead their respective teams to a pair of conference wins during the week ending Oct. 21.  Their performances also landed them Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week recognition, it was announced by the league office Tuesday morning.

Da Silva, a junior midfielder, scored half of Olivet Nazarene's six goals on the week, including a pair in a 3-1 victory over Robert Morris University on Wednesday.  He opened the game's scoring against the Eagles before adding an insurance tally late.

In a 3-2 victory over Trinity International University on Saturday, Da Silva tied the game at 1-1 with his team-leading tenth goal of the season.

Bell, meanwhile, keyed a defense that allowed only one goal during the week to keep Cardinal Stritch in a first-place tie in the league standings.  The sophomore defender helped limit Holy Cross College (Ind.) to six shots – all of which were on goal – Wednesday, while also netting the game-tying goal in an eventual 3-1 Wolves' victory.

Three days later on Saturday, Bell helped preserve a 1-0 shutout of Judson University with several key defensive plays.  In that game, the Wolves' defense allowed only four shots on goal and six shots total.

Cardinal Stritch sits tied with Saint Xavier University atop the CCAC leader board at 7-1-1 entering the final week of regular-season play.  The Wolves are 10-4-1 overall.

Olivet Nazarene is one point out of third place with a 5-2-2 mark in league play and a 9-4-3 record overall.
