CHICAGO --- Averaging better than four kills and four digs per game in a pair of conference victories last week, Indiana University South Bend's Krystle Troyer (Elkhart, Ind.) has been named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 30, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday morning.

The honor is the first-ever weekly conference award for the IUSB volleyball program, which was formed just last year and started competing in the CCAC this fall.

Troyer, a sophomore outside hitter, rang up 15 kills, 21 digs, two service aces and one solo block in a four-set victory over Purdue University Calumet on Tuesday.  Two nights later, she totaled 17 kills, nine digs, one ace and an assist block in sweeping Calumet College of St. Joseph.

For the two matches, Troyer averaged 4.57 kills and 4.29 digs per game and posted a .256 attack percentage.

The two wins moved Indiana South Bend to 4-2 in conference play and 7-8 overall.
