Hilary Halford
CHICAGO --- A 23rd-place overall finish at the Greater Louisville Classic has earned University of St. Francis' Hilary Halford (Antioch, Ill.) Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week honors for the seven-day period ending Sept. 30, it was announced by the league office Tuesday morning.
Racing among a field that included 19 NCAA I and 11 NCAA II teams and 337 total runners, Halford, a junior, recorded a time of 18:24 to lead her team to a 20th-place finish out of 43 schools on Saturday. Among NAIA schools, Cornerstone University was the only school to place ahead of the Saints finishing tied for 17th.
USF is currently ranked 18th in the latest NAIA poll.
